The Malaysian Barista Championship (MBC) is a competition that highlights coffee as a craft, encouraging local baristas to participate in the competition to develop their skills. The championship is also officially recognized by the World Coffee Events (WCE). The purpose of the Malaysian Barista Championship is to highlight the skills of these baristas and promote excellent service, performance and confidence. The national champion will be able to compete on the world stage with some of the best baristas in the world.
